Oil and gas companies often work in areas of conflict and experience challenges around human rights and corruption.​

SDG16 is critical to achieving all the other SDGs – aiming to give all people a safe and secure place to live and work. Through efforts to reduce violence and corruption, promoting the rule of law, and ensuring companies are working in a transparent and inclusive manner, all builds towards achieving this goal.​
